This week the mail man dropped off something awesome, a bright and shinny new Chompy Dice bag from Dragon Chow Dice Bags. Up until now I had been using your standard run of the mill black cloth dice bag with a kick ass dragon on it. Now I am rocking one of the baddest ass free standing dice bags there is.
Now a player/DM/GM’s dice might possibly be one of the most important things he/she owns, so the right dice bag is darn near necessary. Sure you can show up to the table with your dice still in their little plastic tube or box in which they were originally packed, but that’s only if you want everyone at the table thinking this is your first game, and you don’t want that do you? You could show up with your dice in a crown royal bag but then you would have to suffer all the 1e grognard jokes, and no one wants that.
So now you know, getting a sweet dice bag is important and Dragon Chow has some slick stuff. If you have not heard of Dragon Chow Dice bags you should head over to the site right now and check them out; I’ll wait. What makes these dice bags so awesome is the design. They are made with a flat base so they stand up instead of falling over and releasing their contents all over the table. Ofcourse that only happens if you are like me and pack your dice bags with way too many dice.
Every Dragon Chow dice bag is reversible, so if you are a style freak, like me, you actually get two dice bags in one. So you can make your dice bag fit your mood. With my Chompy bag I’ll have Chompy on the outside when I’m having fun and the solid black on the out when I am looking to kill some characters.
The draw strings are also pretty sturdy, which is surprisingly a huge plus. On most dice bags I have used the draw strings either need to be tied (pain in the ass) or just plain don’t keep the bag closed. The Dragon Chow bags have one of those fun spring loaded tie locks you get on snowboard jackets or sleeping bags. So not only do Dragon Chow bags stay upright when you are playing, they stay closed and keep their contents while you are not.
This reads like a shill, and I’m fine with that. When I got my Dragon Chow bag and used it for the first time I was really impressed; enough that I penned this short review. If I ever find a product I think people should not pass up I will write about it unabashedly. So in short these bags rock, Step 1:buy one, step b: be the envy of the others at the table, step 3:??? step 4: profit.
Thank you and good night!
