Origins – The Start of it All

If you weren’t aware, today marks the two-year anniversary of my mad spiral into the gaming hobby. Sure, prior to that, I had played my fair share of D&D, but before Origins 2010, I’d never played a game that didn’t involve a d20 as the primary means of conflict resolution. I was hooked, and now I’m a froo-froo indie game designer!

Seriously, though, Origins is the first game convention that I ever attended, and it will always have a fond place in my heart. I’m at Origins 2012 as I type this, and if I have the means (energy) and the time, I’ll be posting regular updates of my time here. Convention coverage is one of the more fun things for me to do when it comes to writing about games, so at the least, you’ll get a nice big recap of the con come Monday.

If you’re able to make it to Columbus, OH this weekend, do yourself a favor and check out Origins. I’ll be here all weekend, covering what I can and running School Daze at Indie Games on Demand. Also, there will be beer. It has been foretold.
